O Grove has had notable figures in various fields and disciplines throughout its history. Many of them have been recognised and their names are used to name streets and buildings. However, it seems that the passing of time has diluted the memory of these personalities and, for this reason, a route has been created with information about the contributions of these illustrious figures to local history. The route starts on the island of A Toxa and runs through the centre of O Grove to end in the area of ​​O Sineiro.

Our illustrious figures of the 20th century:

Miguel Gil Casares: doctor at the Gran Hotel de A Toxa at the beginning of the 20th century.
José Riestra López: promoter of tourist activity on the island of A Toxa.
Jesús Guridi: musician, composed part of the zarzuela “La Meiga” in O Grove
Ernesto Goday: internationally famous painter, favourite son of O Grove.
