The Meis golf course was inaugurated on May 17, 2000 and designed by Antonio Grande, consists of 18 championship holes. The Monte Castrove Foundation (Foundation of Galician interest that owns the course) resumed management of the facilities on October 1, 2013, after a period of 10 years in which it was managed by the Royal Spanish Golf Federation. Currently, the Board of Trustees of the Monte Castrove Foundation is made up of the municipalities of Meis, Meaño, Ribadumia, Vilanova de Arousa, Vilagarcía de Arousa, Barro, Pontevedra, Cambados, Sanxenxo and the Chan do Fento golf club.
The technical values of the course (73,4 white bars, 72,5 yellow bars, 75,5 blue bars, 74,3 red bars), balanced par and slope (132 white bars, 130 yellow bars, 135 blue bars, 133 bars red), show that it is a competitive field for all levels.
